Karakorum Highway ~ From Pakistan to Xinjiang, China (13 Days 12 Nights) Open for Registration

DAY 1：KUL/SIN ✈ ISLAMABAD (MEALS ON BOARD)

Depart from KUL/SIN for Islamabad, Pakistan. Transit at Bangkok. Arrive Islamabad at night, transfer to hotel.

DAY 2 :   ISLAMABAD ✈ SKARDU (1 HR FLIGHT)   (B,L,D)

In the early morning, take a domestic flight to Skardu. Upon arrival, we will drive to a highland valley overlooking the breathtaking Skardu Plains.  Jeep tour to Sarfaranga cold desert, located on the bank of Indus River, view of sand dunes surrounded by towering mountains

PLAN B *** In case flight canceled due to bad weather, we will go by road towards Chilas/Gilgit via Karakoram Highway （12-16 hours by bus) ***

DAY 3 :   SKARDU - KHAPLU  (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we will drive from Skardu to Khaplu valley (3 hours drive). The curvy road towards Khaplu with several trees shades offers travelers with a wonderful view. Along the way, enjoy the view of beautiful valleys, spectacular snow-capped mountains and forest streams. Afternoon visit to Khaplu Palace, is an old fort and palace, it served as a royal residence for the Raja of Khaplu.

DAY 4 :   KHAPLU - SKARDU  (B,L,D)

Drive back to Skardu after breakfast. Upon arrival, lunch and hike up (45min) to Skardu Fort/Kharphocho Fort, standing at the top offer a bird’s eye view of the entire city and the Indus River. Visit to Lower Kachura lake. The dreamy lake, red-hut cottages and snow-clad mountains gives you an unforgettable view. After the tour, check in hotel.

PLAN B *** Skardu day tour ***

DAY 5:  SKARDU – HUNZA  (B,L,D)

Depart for Hunza and the journey takes about 6 hours.   We will stop along the way for sightseeing & photo. We will cut into stunning and jaw dropping view along Karakorum Highway. On the way to Hunza, we will stop for photo at Old Silk Road and Rakaposhi view point.

DAY 6 :   HUNZA  (B,L,D)

Today we will visit Altit fort and Baltit fort, from there you will see Rakaposhi Mountain, Diran Peak, Golden Peak, Ultar Peak, Lady finger and the beautiful landscape of Hunza and Nagar Valley. We will end our day with beautiful sunset from Eagles Nest.

DAY 7 :   HUNZA - HOPPER NAGAR VALLEY - HOPPER GLACIER TREKKING   (B,L,D)

Today we will explore the Hopper Glacier and Nagar valley. Along the beautiful Karakoram Highway with spectacular sceneries of the surrounding mountains and villages. We will then trek to Hopper Glacier, which is one of the famous glacier in Pakistan. (Trekking takes 2hr 30 min to 3hr round trip)

DAY 8:  UPPER HUNZA - ATTABAD LAKE  (B,L,D)

After breakfast make our way to Passu, you will be greeted by the magnificent scenery and the Passu Cones. After that, we will take a trip to the Hussaini Bridge which is known to be one of the most significant and most dangerous hanging bridges in the world. This bridge connecting the two villages and offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. We will take a boat trip to the beautiful Attabad Lake. Check in to hotel after tour.

DAY 9:  ATTABAD LAKE -– KHUNJERAB PASS - TASHKURGAN (CHINA) (B,L)

After breakfast, we will depart for Sost, a village located 90 km from the China border, where Pakistani immigration procedures are conducted. We will then take a bus to China, traveling along a route through snowy peaks and plains populated with yak herds. This scenic 3-hour journey will lead us to the Khunjerab Pass, the highest paved international border crossing and the highest point on the Karakoram Highway. We will explore the area and spend the night at a hotel in Tashkurgan.

DAY 10: TASHKURGAN（B）

After breakfast, we will travel along the Karakoram Highway into the heart of the Pamir Plateau. After driving approximately 72 KM, we will reach the Wakhan Corridor at the China-Afghanistan border. From there, we will retrace our route along the Karakoram Highway to the starting point of the Panlong Ancient Road. The road reaches an altitude of 4,200 meters. On our return journey to Tashkurgan, we will pass by Bandir Blue Lake, which appears a stunning blue on clear days. In the late afternoon, we will visit the Taghman Wetlands before returning to Tashkurgan for the night.

DAY 11:  TASHKURGAN- KASHGAR  (B) 

After breakfast, we will visit Karakul Lake, where the clear waters reflect the majestic Muztagh Ata Mountain ranges, creating a breathtaking scene. Next, we will visit White Sand Lake, a fairy-tale landscape with its blue waters and yellow-white sand hills. After tour, we will travel to the major southern Xinjiang city of Kashgar, a journey of approximately three hours.

DAY 12: KASHGAR (B) 

After breakfast, head to the Kashgar Old Town, a well-preserved ancient residential area with over 2,000 years of history, featuring a maze-like network of alleys and the grand Id Kah Mosque, one of the largest Islamic architectural complexes. Afterward, enjoy some free time to explore and shop for famous Xinjiang dried fruits and souvenirs.
In the evening, experience the vibrant night market, filled with authentic local food and a lively Southern Xinjiang atmosphere.

DAY 13:  KASHGAR ✈ KUL/SIN (B) 

Transfer to the airport after breakfast. Fly from Kashgar to Kuala Lumpur/Singapore, or you can consider extending your trip in Xinjiang.
